Hanam Jayanti

Hanuman Jayanti is a Hindu festival that commemorates the birth of the Hindu god and one of the Ramayana's heroes, Hanuman- Anjaneya. The celebration is held on the full moon day of Chaitra, the Hindu month. (Chaitra Purnima).

Hanuman is commonly recognized as an ardent follower of Rama-an incarnation of Vishnu and is well-known for his unwavering devotion. He is respected as a sign of strength and vitality and is honored on this day for these reasons.

Hanuman is a vanara and the son of Kesari and Anjana. Hanuman is also known as the celestial son of Vayu, the wind-god. His mother, Anjana, was an apsara who was cursed to be born on Earth. When she gave birth to a boy, she was freed from the curse. According to the Valmiki Ramayana, his father, Kesari, was the son of Brihaspati, king of Sumeru, an area bordering the kingdom of Kishkindha near Hampi in Karnataka's present-day Vijayanagara district. Anjana is supposed to have prayed to Rudra for twelve years in order to bear a child. Rudra, pleased with their dedication, provided them with the son they desired.
